My professional career has been a mishmash of learning skills that has led me to create my own business and pursue an artistic career. Although I had the chance to learn various art form and techniques in my childhood, and exhibited and sold paintings in my teens, initially I did not choose an art profession.
Eventually, I went back to college taking loads of art classes and earning a Fine Arts Department Honors Scholarship which helped pay for my education in social work.
With this qualification, I worked for nonprofit organizations in HIV/AIDS and anti-human trafficking advocacy and education. I taught and developed a macro social work curriculum at Florida Atlantic University, all the while creating art projects and paintings.
In 2018, my social work/social justice focus and art converged to launch Vicki Rosenthal Art, a cohesive social impact art business.
